  6. relating to employee attendance at the place of work. It uses intelligent time
  7. clock terminals to collect and validate clockings, give messages and present
  8. optional reports.Employee clockings are recognised by reading either magnetic
  9. stripe or bar-coded clocking cards. These transactions are communicated in real
  10. time to the host computer.Time + provides extensive facilities for defining
  11. employee working patterns and pay rates. Exceptions in employees' hours are
  12. highlighted, including lateness, unapproved overtime and absence. Payable hours
  13. are calculated at various pay rates for approval and transfer to payroll.
